Judge Locascio Dies 12/30/14


Judge Peter A. Locascio was 68, of Atlantic Highlands, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014.  He was admitted to the New Jersey and Hawaii state Bars. He worked as a Public Defender in Union County and prosecutor in Middlesex County before beginning his private practice in Red Bank, which he maintained for the last thirty-nine years. In addition to his practice, he served as municipal court judge of Atlantic Highlands and Highlands. He was a active member of the Monmouth County Municipal Court Judge’s Association. A Funeral Mass was held 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5 at St. Agnes R.C. Church, Atlantic Highlands. Interment Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. In September, Locascio was the subject of a judicial conduct complaint, in which an unnamed attorney alleges he was bullied in court by the judge. Locascio denied the accusation.
