Monmouth County Prosecutor allows PTI for aggravated sexual assault crime …if you are a female.
Kalee Warnick, a former Wall Township teacher was indicted for allegedly having sex at her home with a minor student when she was 22 and he was 15 in 2013. The charges were Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The New Jersey Department of Education has now revoked her English teaching certificate and she has been granted entry into Pre-Trial Intervention Program which will result in the dismissal of all charges against her this May. Previously, Ms. Warnick was facing 20 years in NJ State Prison and mandatory registration with Megan’s Law / parole supervision for life. There has been no comment from the Monmouth County Prosecutor as to why they abandoned the prosecution when they claimed to have evidence of sexual penetration between the student and teacher.
